This book was all kinds of crazy. There was so much going on that it had my head spinning. Each one of these women had some type of secret. So many lies to go with the drama, deceit, greed, etc. I could go on and on. There is too much to mention. You have to read it for yourself. You will definitely be left with your mouth hanging open.
I must say i really enjoyed this book! I was confused at first with the name switch up... but quickly got with the program afterwards! Chiiilllleee talk about DRAMA!!!!!!!!!! All the ladies had something going on BUT that love triangle between a couple of folks (not trying to give it away) is a MONSTER! Read this book... you'll enjoy it! ready for part 2!
Toni was the jealous sister that did the unthinkable and still doesn't know how to let go. Shelia was a workaholic that meant well with her husband but didn't get it until the end. Rosyln was to desperate and over the top and really went above and beyond to push Layla to the point if no return. David was just a dumb momma boy. Jalissa wow her and her husband who would've thought. But I am glad Tanya got out her situation for now.
Okay, this book was actually really, really, REALLY good. But the editing (or lack thereof) made this book a pain to read. As good as Devious Wives is, I spent more time editing as I went than enjoying the read. I love the character development and how each character came to be in their situations. The characters were relatable and the storyline was believable and didn't read as fiction. I also LOVED the suspense/thrill of this read. It seperates itself from 'typical urban fiction' storylines. It wasn't predictable and I found mysf rooting for the characters like these were teal people as opposed to characters in a book. I hope in part 2 that the editing issue is addressed because you can honestly lose readers like that. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Great job.
It was a good read, full of drama! A true page turner. Will be reading part two. Good good job.
